During this time of the year the word “Peace” is a popular expression. Many people look within themselves to find peace. Governments attempt to turn the world upside-to achieve peace. But genuine peace is not of this world—never has been and never will be.

Money can’t buy peace. Military might and diplomacy cannot achieve peace. Psychology has no answer for peace. Such is the case because peace is more than a state of tranquility that we desire in troublesome times.

Real lasting peace is the relationship that exist between us and God because of the redeeming work of Jesus – “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1)

Satan will take advantage of every situation to keep us frustrated by drawing our attention away from the peace we have in Jesus. In fact one of the devils most powerful weapons is to deceive us to believe that we can accomplish peace with our own power.

Let us not yield to the devil’s temptation by looking for peace in all the wrong places. Look to Him who said “Peace I leave you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” (John 14:27).
